When I've finished my time at Highbury
I think I'm going to be a masterpiece
Highbury is an independent Christian school for boys from Grade R to Grade 7, and is situated in the picturesque suburb of Hillcrest on 11 hectares of park-like grounds. Founded in 1903, the school has a proud tradition of quality education encompassing academics, culture and sport. Highbury’s motto Jamais Arriere (Never Behind) is what we strive for.
At Highbury, we cater for more than 550 boys in a vibrant and stimulating environment. Our staff make use of a ‘personal best’ approach towards education, taking the time to understand the needs, interests, strengths and weaknesses unique to each boy. We strive to give each boy a well-rounded education with every opportunity to reach his personal best while at school, to ensure that each boy is well-prepared for the demands of adulthood in the 21st century.
At Highbury, we have a co-education pre-primary unit, the Weavers’ Nest, which caters for Grade 0000 to Grade 00, with six fully qualified pre-primary staff, four teacher assistants and five interns. Highbury is a Non-Profit Organization and all fee revenue is invested into our educational programme and our estate.
Highbury is a boys' Christian preparatory school, which offers all-round, relevant and dynamic education within a caring environment. Pupils are equipped with the values, skills and knowledge to deal with the demands of a changing and challenging world.
The Eco-School Programme is an international sustainability schools initiative that is active in 51 countries around the world.
The programme is aimed at creating awareness and action around environmental sustainability in schools and their surrounding communities, as well as supporting ESD (Education for Sustainable Development) in the national curriculum.
